Headstrong Foolish Girl - PRINT

This is a print of the upcycled oil painting I made that is inspired by the 2005 Pride and Prejudice. 💌

Not only is this moment cinematically beautiful, but I always watched it knowing how much the moment held, in both the book and on screen adaptations.

Elizebeth has refused Mr. Collins. Although there's always a comedic element in this scene, this is a women refusing a man, a man who could also protect the family and bring security, and yet Lizzy is choosing herself, and her own happiness, something that was rare in those days and not what was expected of women.

I loved that she is called a "headstrong foolish girl", we all need to be headstrong and foolish sometimes.
