Sofia Coppola’s 2006 film Marie Antoinette is now celebrating its 20th anniversary. A favourite film of mine since its release. I have up-cycled 3 paintings inspired by the iconic ‘I Want Candy’ scene. 🍬
This piece depicts one of Marie Antoinette's girls knocking over a champagne coupe to taste some cake. Featuring playing cards, confetti, a pink pastel cake with cherries and an elegant sleeve from the finery worn at 18th century French Court. I hope you like the pieces! *Plays “I Want Candy” by Bow Wow Wow 🪭🍰🎲
